The museum is a 30,000 square foot, three story structure with 15 galleries, a glass domed conservatory
with entrance gates by renowned metal artist Albert Paley and a Persian ceiling by acclaimed glass artist Dale Chihuly.
It also has a resource room and museum Store. The museum is dedicated to displaying world-class paintings, sculpture,
drawings and other art forms, while providing educational programs and lectures.

Edison Museum |
Edison Ford Winter Estate Ft. Myers
There is a 15,000 sq. ft. museum with hundreds of Edison and Ford inventions and objects, video
theatres, and changing special exhibits on the estate. Considered his most original invention, the Phonograph was
patented in 1878. There are over 200 Edison phonographs on display.

exhibits throughout the year, but even if you miss one, it's worth a stop to see its rotating permanent collection of
19th and 20th century American art, pre-Columbian art dating from 1200 B.C. to A.D. 1500, and African art. Allow 2 to
3 hours.
